Daily Progress Report

Daily Goal: Met

Finally got through the LAST scene of that long inset.  17877 words, 59 pages in that whole section.  Of course now we get to the lasagna dinner scene where Collin finally tells the truth about what happened ten years ago.  There are several ways I could lead into that.  What’s giving me problems now is what’s going to prompt her to run.  The original reason for it isn’t really valid anymore.  So we’ll see.  Maybe tomorrow I will wake up more clear on what to do there.

Don't tell me the moon is shining; show me the glint of light on broken glass. ~Anton Chekhov

If my doctor told me I had only six minutes to live, I wouldn't brood. I'd type a little faster. ~Isaac Asimov

If the artist does not fling himself, without reflecting, into his work, ... as the soldier flings himself into the enemy's trenches, and if, once in this crater, he does not work like a miner on whom the walls of his gallery have fallen in; if he contemplates difficulties instead of overcoming them one by one ... he is simply looking on at the suicide of his own talent. ~ Honore de Balzac
