Daily Goal: Met

Well I made it through the lasagna scene rewrite today.  I think I did a pretty decent job of parsing in what I could use from the original version and correcting her reactions to make them fit better with the stuff that now comes before.  Next up, the second phone call from our killer.  I was never happy with this on the front end.  It should be this a very suspenseful call, and the aftermath should be a much longer period of suspense than I had before when it was the first phone call.  There’s much more at stake now, so it’s important to keep that apparent.  Need sleep though.

"I've worked with a lot of artists, Em, and they all have a need that cannot be met by another human being." - Madeleine L'Engle, Certain Women

The act of putting pen to paper encourages pause for thought, this in turn makes us think more deeply about life, which helps us regain our equilibrium. ~Norbet Platt

Don't tell me the moon is shining; show me the glint of light on broken glass. ~Anton Chekhov

If my doctor told me I had only six minutes to live, I wouldn't brood. I'd type a little faster. ~Isaac Asimov

If the artist does not fling himself, without reflecting, into his work, ... as the soldier flings himself into the enemy's trenches, and if, once in this crater, he does not work like a miner on whom the walls of his gallery have fallen in; if he contemplates difficulties instead of overcoming them one by one ... he is simply looking on at the suicide of his own talent. ~ Honore de Balzac
